A water-based, non-toxic finish for use over Sweet Pickins Milk Paint to help guard against stains, dirt, moisture, and everyday wear.
This low-toxicity, non-toxic formula is a great alternative to solvent-based finishes and is perfect for furniture, cabinets, doors, toys, trim, and other interior wood projects.
Important: This gloss top coat will seal milk paint while keeping the natural look of raw paint. It will not even out the mottled or streaky appearance milk paint is known for, and it will not deepen the color. If a richer or deeper finish is desired, an oil-based finish may be preferred, like the Sweet Pickins Oil Wax.

Application Tips
- Use on clean surfaces free of dust, grease, wax, oils, and residue
- Allow painted or stained surfaces to dry 24 hours before applying
- Gently mix or roll bottle to avoid bubbles
- Pour product in a clean container to avoid contamination
- Apply thin, even coats with a brush or roller
- Keep a wet edge and avoid overbrushing
- Apply 2 coats for best durability
- Allow 4–6 hours dry time between coats
Dry Time
- Dry to touch: approx. 1 hour
- Recoat: 4–6 hours
- Light use: after 24 hours
- Full cure continues over time
Important Notes
- Interior use only
- Do not apply below 55°F
- Avoid use in high humidity
- Keep from freezing
- Test first when using over dark paint colors
- Thick coats or humid conditions may appear slightly cloudy or yellow
- May not protect against certain kitchen oils
- Keep bottle tightly closed and out of reach of children.
- Always have adequate ventilation.
