Alice's Story

I am so very happy to share with you how I ended up here using a gift from God. My name is Alice Jean (Canale) Stotts. I was born on October 29, 1941 in Athens county Ohio. I was raised with 6 brothers and sisters, so I have many sweet memories of growing up. I graduated from The Plains HS in 1959. I met and married my husband, Daniel Stotts, also in 1959. After my husband's military tour, we settled back in Athens, raising our family. We moved to Northern Ohio and ended up in Wadsworth with our three children; Bridget, Danny and Jill.In 1974, I entered the workforce for the first time, doing factory work, from which I retired.

My walk with the Lord began when a neighbor at Loyal Oaks invited me to Church, where I am happy to say I dedicated my life to God. Today, I attend Canaan Freewill Baptist Church and I live in Rittman, Ohio. My passion to want to paint began when I was an adult. I knew I had this deep desire to paint, but I could not bring it out.

But in God's time and in His Plans for me, about 5 years ago, He gave me this great gift of painting with water colors, to share with others. I started making gift tags, then this grew into making cards and then capturing God's beauty in nature. Often today, I am in disbelief as the Lord continues to grow and expand my Art.
